XPOSE Dance Theater Co. is excited to perform in the highly anticipated, upcoming dance production of "Euphoria/Dysphoria", presented by Shannon J. Smith. Through this participation, XPOSE DTC began the exploration of a new venture! It is an experimental choreographic process executed by dancers and choreographer in separate spaces. Dancers are working out of a studio in Pasadena, CA, while the choreographer is located in Northwest Florida. It involves rehearsing, teaching choreography, creating movement, putting together a dance performance piece via Laptops and FaceTime! It is a process that involves collaboration and input from both ends of the dancer/choreographer relationship and the dance-making spectrum. This new yet exciting process for XPOSE DTC has presented itself with challenges, technical difficulties, aesthetic boundaries, teaching and learning limitation yet has also opened so many more possibilities of future dance making opportunities and methods to continue forth with the XPOSE Dance Theater Co. purpose, regardless of distance and space.
